Hey guys, I would like to start off saying that Sony fanboys are idiots, I would put up with their nonsense if half of the shit they said was true...but it isn't...

Follow this link, and read the report...then call all your Sony fanboy friends and tell them to suck on an xbox360 shaped lemon. Remember to read some of the comments at the bottom of the story, because oddly enough (here are Sony fanboys for you) they talk about how much 360 sucks and how they traded in the 360s for PS3s....Did they read the article or just the title???  All they ever babble on about is the "good ol days" when it was just them and Nintendo and they didn't really need to do well because Nintendo has never really been, nor tried to be, a graphics power house, and Nintendo got the games for Younger audiences while Sony took the more mature audience as well. Then one-day shit hit the fan for Sony and Microsoft released the Xbox, a system that was more powerful, more financially free, and could compete in the gaming market for the mature audience. Then the PS2 had o put up with years of being spanked. Then the 360 was released and shortly after the PS3, now Sony had something that was suppose to be on the same level of play. Except that in Sony's reckless abandon to climb back on top of console gamming, they made wild promises about games and technology. Some of it was untrue, some of it still was true but left out important details. In the end you get the above article...Sony net revenues dropping.

 You know why people are buying PS3s, because they are cheap blue ray players. I bet that half the people who own a PS3 aren’t even gamers! Then the die-hard fanboys come out saying that they have a bunch of good games...They don't. The ones they do have are multi-platform and perform better on a 360. This has been proven in a side-by-side comparison on various websites. Sony has one good exclusive game which is MGS4, 360 has bought their other titles and it won't be long before they buy that as well. In comparison the 360 has more exclusive titles included blockbusters like the Halo series, Gears of War, Fable, Too Human, Mass Effect and more. I will concede hat under the hood the PS3 has the capabilities to produce better looking and smoother running games than the 360. BUT it doesn’t happen because it is both more difficult and more expensive for developers to program to Sony's system needs.

Sonys got balls -- well... they have something. It sure as hell isn't balls though. If anything the only thing Sony has is a unfilled need for some basic intelligence.

 

Sony in all their thick headed moments decided it that their 2.4 firmware release somehow out does the 360's firmware. The funny thing about this is that they think scrolling is better than the way the 360 presents content. Now if anybody reading this is a software developer they know that the number one rule about designing web pages is "people hate to scroll". Good job Sony. You've proven to us all just how big of a tool your organization really is.



Aside from that the much appraised trophy system in the new sony firmware is spotty. Meaning, that there are games which don't even offer trophies. i l0l'd. Go Sony. So the one good thing you thought you had is now sub-sub-par of an achievement. Yes... ACHIEVEMENT!. Many of you will recognize that word as it is the word used by the 360's ACHIEVEMENT system which is.. GOOD! Now Sony, I hope this is clear by now but with your heads so far up your own asses I'm not sure you picked up on that so I'll reitterate: your trophy system ripped off the 360 achievement system and your system is shittier.

The funniest thing about this is when I read about them it was in my google reader. Sony bragging about their new firmware first then the next item in my reader was that alot of games are chooseing not to support trophies.



I've read quite a bit about Sony's bullshit and man they are getting on my nerves. But Sony is only half as bad, if that, compared to their annoying ass fanboys.

Let me tell everybody very explicitly that I was a faithful Sony player for most of my life, in fact I still own a PSP (The only good thing to ever come out of Sony's gaming department), but when the XBOX was released it was clear that Sony was producing an inferior product and that reverberated into the nex-gen systems (360, PS3) as many of Sony's best selling titles have moved over to the XBOX platform. And if your a gamer you won't care which system is stronger so long as it has the best games.

So Sony fans, smarten up. Get off your stupid shit and buy a 360.


Ps. MGS4 sucked balls. What a let down eh? Just when you thought you guys had something. Sigh. Poor fanboys.

So I thought I would make a quick post about upcoming games to keep an eye out for, and if you have yet to hear of them all the better for you.

 Obviously there is Dawn of War 2 as rapidfire pointed out and COD5 as Logicalnot pointed out, but what else

 October of this year we have a nex-gen GHOSTBUSTERS game YEAAAA, with all the original actors back to do the voice work and the story being written by Dan Akroyd and Harald Ramis so it should be promising

 Starcraft II is a no brainer, I mean come on, if you don;t know about this one...get off my site

Alone in the Dark wil actually be released this month and promises to be a very innovating game in terms of story and graphics...two eyes on the sky

Left for Dead, here is one by our friends at Steam, creators of such games as Half Life and Counter Strike, so this will be Couter Strike meets Zombies

ITS BEGUN! You know that horrible feeling inside you that rots you from the inside out. The feeling you get when a platoon of Chaos Demons is steadily approaching your army of pussy ass tomb kings or ogres. The feeling when your on the stern of a ship as it breaks in half and sinks. The feeling you get when you see Rambo rip a mans asophogus out. The feeling you get when you fall in love. The feeling you get when the next Call of Duty has been announced and you sit waiting for it to be released. Yeah that feeling.

The new Call of Duty, although not officially announced has had words about it from the publisher. The game will be entitled World at War. Which is pinning up the usual forces up against Imperial Japan this time. The developers said they are aiming to introduce the players to a darker corner of the WWII story. And yes, you hear me right -- WWII. That means our time is up for the advanced warfare thing...for now (hopefully).

Activision has assigned Treyarch to develop the game. Word has it you can burn down buildings and bushes etc with your new flamethrower (yes the game has a flamethrower in it). The game is also said to introduce a number of new multiplayer perks, including many of the ones from previous games like COD4 but a new lineup of perks that are more suited to the time period.  The single player campaign introduces COD players to the ability of commanding your troops as you play.

After reading about this, all I can say is that I poop'd a bit out of excitement. The game sounds wicked but now its up to Treyarch to make it pwn as hard, or hopefully harder, than COD4 did.

You guys can count on me to keep you up to date on this pwn-awesom-age story as it develops.

I'm BACK...sorry for the long absence everyone...

Anyways, I have never been a huge Warhammer fan unlike the other members of the WAFN crew but I must say this...This game looks AWESOME. For those of you who don't know, Dawn of War is the PC RTS version of the popular strategy game by Games Workshop called Warhammer 40 000 which centers around outrageously violent battles between various warring races within the 40K universe. The original Dawn of War and its expansions have been retardedly successful and this sequel looks like it may make 40K lovers cream their para-slacks. The visuals in this game will be stunning to say the least and the online play is rumoured to be taking a new direction then what Dawn of War enthusiasts are used to. That's right people, word is that you will be able to play online campaign co-op instead of just regular comp stomp. "RTS co-op....fucking sweet". Not only this but the campaign in general will be much different than your average RTS. Relic, the developers of the game, say that the campaign for Dawn of War 2 will have features that link it more closely to an RPG than an RTS "ala Mass effect". For example, for the space marines you will be in control of the same squad of units for the duration of the game which you can upgrade and add to when needed as well as adding individualized leaders. You will take this squad throughout the 40K universe in a space ship going back and forth from different planets running into optional story sequences "just like the distress signals in Mass Effect, lolz".

This game is not quite near finished but I have to say I am excited to find out more, and hopefully you are too Lolz. Thats all I have for you today faithful readers, feel free to check out the sweet snippet of gameplay I aquired from IGN. Cheers

Well who can remember back to the re-release of the original Star Wars trilogy when Mr. Lucas and the gang added the extended ending? As the second Death Star exploded into tiny little pieces along with the Emperor the galaxy rejoiced cutting to scenes of Naboo, Tatooine, Endor, ect... Well now that you have that scene in mind, the Internet gaming community is essentially doing the same with the news that the most likely insane lawyer Jack Thompson has been brought up by the Florida BAR for an "enhanced disbarment". What this means is an inability to practice law in Florida for 10 years. Now that’s a great big what what in the butt for him.

After years of terrorizing the gamming community, the music genre of hip hop, as well as abusing the law and harassing other lawyers and judges alike Jacky boy is getting his comeuppance, and oh justice is sweet. How long has he been blaming school shootings, various crimes, bullying and general public malcontent to video games. Seeing how his accusation where ridiculous and had no legs to stand it, even he must have seen this coming. If you ever practice respectable law in the future here are some things to keep in mind JT:

1. The few do not define the many; some call this racism, ignorance, or prejudice

2. The market and the almighty dollar are protected by more than anyone could ever overcome

3. Fact can not be fabricated

4. Judges are more important than you

5. The law is not a toy for your personal amusement nor a backscratcher to reach your every itch

So anyways score one for the good guys, hip hip hoorah even if it is a little laggy lulz. Unlike others, I wish no harm on Jack Thompson, while he may be infuriatingly frustrating, that would only prove him right. Instead I only whish he has what’s coming to him, justice and a mental institution. To all the so called "video game experts" and psychologists who advocate this type of nonsense to you I say to things: First off you people make real hard working psychologists look like people who have their head in the clouds and get paid allot of money for no real work. So yeah like Storm said Toronto like pwned and stuff. There were a few locations I regret not hitting but I think the excessive amounts of Thai food and Mandarin (during crab fest I might add) made up for it. There is a small breakfast diner in Toronto on College street just east of Bathurst called Maggy's. Basically this restaurant is the shit. Eventhough some of you might be like "oh maggy's thats where Jeremy from purepwnage goes you copy-cat" I don't really care. Because Jeremy did put the idea in our head but eating unveiled the truth about Toronto breakfast diners. That truth being, if it has a sign and is easy to find, its not worth your time. And I will live by that from now on. Wanna know what Maggy's sign is? It's a printed off 8.5x11" piece of paper in a page protector taped with pasking tape to their window. Thats class ladies and gentlemen.

But aside from the lack of awesome breakfast food I regret not baptizing Storm into the glory that is strippers. You see we had talked about it a bit, then forgot about it, then talked about it some more, then forgot, then my girlfriend urged me to take him (cool eh), and then we were gonna go and stuff, and then we drained our bank accounts on thai food. Which you might all think is ridiculous. But I have never been so satisfied in my life than the day we had Thai food three times. And those weren't even out meals!

So we didn't go.

So...

We'll go another time.

I don't really have alot of stories to share. The weekend, as Stormtruper said, consisted of alot of food and beer and video games. And it doesn't get much better than that my friends. If by chance we could talk a stripper into stripping next to the TV while we gamed then perhaps it might be slightly better. But in all honesty that doesn't even really affect the awesome that this weekend was too much.

When it comes down to it, a guy can't ask for much more. We pwned the droid army. We drank a 24. We ate as much cultural food as we could. AND we got some more pieces for our armies.  Which make me kind of sad because Stormtruper is all delusional thinking he can beat my daemons now. Just be delicate with him guys, its not his fault my daemons are unstoppable.

So it appears two of our writers are taking an extended vacation for a month since they last wrote. Which really puts the pressure on those of us who do write to make more posts, more frequently and more awesome. Well I can't promise awesome but I certainly will try to write more until the other two get back in the boat.

If you've been paying attention you know I've gotten into the Warhammer realm recently and finally played my first matches yesterday. It went well. I mean my demon army kept the game running into the last round despite the fact that we lost. Mind you alot of attacks were focussed on imthinking's Ogre army to avoid them coming into base-contact with the opposing armies: lizardmen and high elves. Which if your a warhammer gamer, you can imagine would be pretty shitty if your on a team army where all your units rely on brute force in base-contact battle. Basically it took half the game of watching our guys get picked off by their magic before we could get close enough to charge. Sigh. It was hard to watch. It certainly made me realize I need some ranged, faster, and magic units in my army. Which is what I'm doing today because an all Khorne army, although superiorly strong, can't cut it strategically.

My second game in warhammer I won, in a massacre of all things! I played against Storm's Orc army in a hand to hand skirmish match for 1000 point armies. I got lucky a few times. His troops failed animosity testing twice so they couldn't do anything for two rounds. And my army is just ridiculous for hand to hand. So my respect goes out to storm for giving me that opportunity. I know if he had it any other way than a "training match" he'd have some ranged weapons and would have hurt me bad before I could even get close to him.

Other than that, the lil girl is gone to Vietnam for a month. Life will be hard without her.

I'm not sure if any of the others have filled you all in about the COD4 tourney we were supposed to take part in. But basically some d00d was hosting a COD4 tourney and he invited Rapidfire who in turn invited his clan: the WAFN boys. So we were all stoked up ont his tourney and were going to start training and stuff when hosting-d00d decided to be a t00l. T00l decided to postpone the tourney until October to accomodate the release of the upcomming GOW2 game. Which all fine and all except the fact that now WAFN cannot partake in pwning a bunch of bitch-ass n00bs up North because we'll all be down south at school again at that point. 

News.. news... news.... hmm nothing else to tell. To be honest I've been pretty lazy with the site myself. I haven't kept up with the news or anything. So really I'm bringing you everything I vowed I wouldn't at the beginning of this project: a mass of personal bullshit that nobody cares about. Sorry d00dz.

Hey guys and dolls, I am back and long over due. Exams finally over, I finally make it back home, and just when I think I am out of the woods...I have my wisdom teeth cut out and am now once again incapacitated. So I thought that I would do a post. Recently saw the Iron Man movie, and as I am sure you have heard it was amazing. Great CG, acting, story line, everything was great. It is possibly the best Marvel movie I have seen thus far. If you were unfortunate enough to not stay after the credits then go see it again and stay till the end. It worth it! I mean you could find it on Youtube, but you may as well just go see the whole movie again, it was that good after all.

The Iron Man video game was not such a hit. While the graphics is not bad, the voice acting and cut scenes were horrible, and the game play was repetitive and frustrating. Leave this one on the shelf boys and girls; it’s not even fit to be there though. 

 Those of you keeping up with Warhammer, the new Daemon Army has just been released and it is ridiculously powerful. The daemons being bad enough already have had their ward save increased to a 5+ against all types of attacks. They instability test is now more like the undead tests, so entire units cannot go "poof" any more. And if that were not bad enough, the demonic heralds, can be added to their own type of daemons to give increased benefits, such as hatred against everyone with killing blow (Khorne) or always striking first (Slannesh), regeneration (Nurgle). Next on the chopping block will be a new Chaos Mortals list and the Dark Elves.

OMFG WTF! I'm not sure what I mean by that. On one hand I'm pissed because game developpers are jumping all over this DLC shit that costs money. On the other hand I'm thrilled because game developpers are jumping all over this DLC shit and making more maps for us!

You might have guessed already I splurged and bought the Legendary map-pack. Thats right my good old Halo roots are still strong.

As for comments on the new maps... I haven't really had an opportunity to play them online yet but have had a few moments to jump in each of them and play with some of the new forge features. And I will say the maps and the new forge stuff is awesome and fun.

But theres a problem, someone like myself might even call it a bug... or two.

For one when you first download the maps you have to first play a custom match on the map before it will show up in your forge maps.

Secondly, remember way back when... when we payed dear dollars for the Heroic map-pack. Yeah? Well its gone now. Its seems in Bungies never ending desire to see how far they can push their fans without driving them away they somehow managed to make the new map-pack overwrite the Heroic one. WTF!?

Now I havent had a chance to get online yet but I'm still crossing my fingers once I get online that I will be able to re download the Heroic map-pack. After all its free now anyways.

So if you have a chance don't download the new maps. It seems they are more trouble than anything. Anddddd, on the plus side: your not us and you don't have to report on this stuff to regular readers so wait it out they'll be free soon enough.
